Welcome to The Sands Centre, Carlisle
The award-winning Sands Centre is Cumbria's premier venue for Arts, Events, Entertainment, Conferences, Exhibitions and Meetings, Health and Fitness and Sport and Recreation. Originally built in 1984 the centre now attracts over 650,000 visitors per year.
The programme of the centre goes from strength to strength and features top international orchestras, theatre companies, opera and ballet groups, international recording artists as well as some of the best talent from the worlds of comedy and pop.
The centre provides a diverse range of Sports, Recreation and Health & Fitness activities as well as the LifeStyle Centre, a state of the art fitness facility. Customers range from two to ninety two and there is usually an activity for everyone.
The centre can also host a wide range of conferences, meetings and exhibitions ranging from car shows, Ideal Home exhibitions and national conferences to small meetings and seminars.
